The Estuary is the geographical pivot of Aneho. It is here that the sweet lagoon flows, sometimes violently, into the salt immensity of the Atlantic Ocean. This perpetual battle of the waters defines the rhythm of the city.
A landscape in constant motion, the Estuary is bordered by the Mono River. More than a natural setting, it is an ecological and spiritual crossroads where many ceremonies related to the water divinities (Vodu Mammi) are celebrated. At low tide, sandbanks appear, modifying the very map of the city.
Best Time
